What scares you the most? high stunts? hard tumbling moves? what are ways to stay safe?

When I try a new tumbling pass my heart raises. I'm scared I might get hurt because I'm not experienced in this new skill. So I always try it on the tumble track first and if I cant do it there then I know for sure I'm not ready for the floor. When I am ready for the floor I have a coach spot me and then I ask them if they think I'm ready to do it on my own. That's how I stay safe.

When it comes to stunting and I try a new stunt, I always stunt with people I feel safe with. I ask myself "Do they know what they are doing?" If I feel comfortable then I'm ready to stunt and I always have my team mates form a "safety circle" to catch me if I fall. After a few trys and the stunt is sturdy I feel that I'm ready do it without the "safety circle"

Cheerleading can be scary at times but you cant freak out because that can cause your team mates to freak out and then someone can get hurt. Just ask yourself before attempting something "Do I know how to do this?" "Do I need a coach present" "Am I putting anyone in danger?"

Always cheer SAFELY!

I get scared too when I try something new too.  I have found that if I have someone that I really trust spotting me, it is not so bad.  I just got my back handspring biggrin
