The second you walk in the intimidation begins. Is you're uniform the most up to date? is your bow styling? do you have infinity cheer shoes? do you walk in with you're head held high or are you nervous?

Well everyone is nervous, they're lying to you if they say they aren't.
So you get there. You put on your uniform. Teams everywhere doing make-up and hair spray. stretching in the middle of the halls. All this to get ready for a 2 minute and 30 second routine. One wobble in a stunt and it can cost you the championship title. You finally get to warm-ups room and now the pressure gets more intense. all the other teams are watching you as you warm up to see what you're "bringing"! you watch them and get more nervous because they just hit 7 kick-double baskets perfectly. then the announcer says, "your teams up in 10 minutes" you're biting your nails and now you have to pee! :) potty break before you go on. you look yourself in the mirror. glitter on your eyelids. you think to yourself, "the bow looks good." you go through the routine quickly in your head. "I can do it" you tell yourself. then you walk out of the restroom. now your team is in "the hole" ! then the announcer says your team is "on deck" that means your up next. your team does the little pep speech and then a little prayer. and then the announcer says your team name and your on. you run out. you see the parents and the other teams, friends and family, they're all watching you. your music comes on. and you hit your first stunt. tears almost come out of your eyes because you're so happy. its time to tumble. land it! you feel like screaming but decide to save you're energy. The dance comes up and you work it. ending pose and its all over! STRAIGHT to the water fountain you go. out of breath. you gave it your all and now its up to the judges. you wait till the competition is over. and win or lose you did the best you could do. but winning feels a lot better. I'm not gonna lie. you get a medal and sometimes a championship jacket. I'm happy when they just give us a t-shirt that says national champions! I wear it for the rest of the day. we go out to dinner to celebrate. its the best feeling ever!

Donts for the competitive world:
*NEVER walk into the competition with you're uniform on and in your flip flops. That's tacky once you put the uniform on you're representing your team and you dont want to set the wrong impression.
*NEVER talk bad about another team. It will just make your team look bad. no one likes bad sportsmanship.
*NEVER boo another team its bad karma and rude. cheerleaders should have manners at all times.

Do's:
*ALWAYS represent your team with a good attitude.
*ALWAYS tell the other teams that they did a good job.
*ALWAYS Hold your head up high, even if you don't win.
